This highlights some of our work over the last few years.

Log Home with Wraparound Porch

Believe it or not this was our first construction project. We had no prior experience and to learn how to do it we attended a two day class. We certainly learned a lot building that house but we made a lot of mistakes. 

Post and Beam Shed – 16×24

This was our first post and beam project. It took about three weeks of work time to complete everything but painting the board and batten. The pull down sliding door on the front was the most trouble — I didn’t take the time to read the directions before installation. Not a good idea!

Post and Beam Workshop – 24×30

This fun project took two weeks to be at the stage we where dried in. The first week was spent leveling the build pad, bringing in a load of gravel and pouring the concrete. The second week we put up the posts, beams, trusses (built on site), roofing, osb and the vapor barrier material. The door and windows were hung as well. Later on we put up board and batten and it turned out looking great. If you put a small porch on the front it would make a great “tiny house”!!
