MyTimberHome.com was started with a passion for helping others to achieve the dream of affordable debt-free home ownership.
Our journey began with the desire to build an affordable home. We had always been drawn to the idea of building our own house but we had no prior construction experience. With nothing more than a two-day class on log home construction we set off on a three and half year journey to build our first home. We faced a lot of challenges and learned about ourselves and the building process.
After this initial house we have gone on to build several timber frame structures. Because of what we learned, we have been able to build these faster and more economically than that first home. From these experiences we realized that more people could do this and achieve debt-free home ownership. We want to help people reach their dreams by sharing what we have learned throughout this process.
