The moisture of the drying lumber continues to drop. Most of the outer wood is down to acceptable ranges (12% or below) with the outliers being around 15%. The stack of drying lumber is about five feet high and six feet across. Just a small note about that .. not really ideal. I wish i could have built two stacks but really didn’t have the room this time. I’m sure the wood in the middle will be higher in moisture content because it doesn’t get as much airflow.
I have even run a piece or two of the wood through the planer and it’s cleaning up quite nicely. Looking forward to getting this wood painted and building the shed. With any luck construction will begin late this month.
